The 3rd AEA Global Automotive Audio Technology Summit 2026, held as part of the GIVC Global Intelligent Vehicle Conference series, opened at Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center, China on March 20, 2026. Hosted by CIMP and co-organized by the China Audio Industry Association, Intelligent Automotive Audio Sub-Council. The summit brought together more than 80 industry professionals from OEMs, global automotive audio brands, Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers, and audio manufacturing companies. The attendees held in-depth discussions on the latest developments and future trends in automotive audio technology.

The summit opened with a welcome address by Zhang Tianjie, Head of AEA Automotive Audio Department at CIMP, who spoke on behalf of the organizer and extended a warm welcome to all attendees.

Chai Guoqiang, President of the China Audio Industry Association, Intelligent Automotive Audio Sub-Council delivered a speech at the summit. He emphasized that automotive audio systems are integrated technologies involving multiple fields, including speakers, amplifiers, tuning and noise reduction, and therefore require cross-disciplinary knowledge and expertise. He also shared his years of experience in global automotive audio design with the audience.

Industry Experts Gather to Chart a New Blueprint for Automotive Audio Technology

Acoustic Expert from the Advanced Technology Research Institute of Suzhou Sonavox Electronics


Mu Yongsheng, Acoustic Expert at the Advanced Technology Research Institute of Suzhou Sonavox Electronics, delivered a presentation titled “NVH-Integrated Design in Automotive Audio Systems.” He analyzed the sources of in-cabin noise and their masking effects, and proposed active noise control solutions, including active road noise control and electronic sound absorption. He also introduced innovative speaker designs to address door panel resonance and outlined the application prospects of AI technologies and novel acoustic metamaterials in the field of NVH.



Shi Xiaolei, Automotive Audio System Expert from NIO


Shi Xiaolei, Automotive Audio System Expert at NIO, shared insights on next-generation in-vehicle immersive audio systems. He presented the evolution of NIO’s audio systems, from a 5.1 surround sound system to an 8.1.4.2 immersive audio system, and explained acoustic calibration technologies and innovative features such as immersive sound modes. He also discussed technical challenges in the aftermarket, including adaptation to the A2B bus protocol.


Chen Huahua, Chief Sound Tuning Engineer at Geely


Chen Huahua, Chief Tuning Engineer at Geely, delivered a presentation on In-Vehicle Audio Architecture and Tuning. Through a case study on the perforation ratio of protective grilles, he illustrated the decisive impact of the in-cabin environment on sound quality. He further explained the balance between objective tuning, such as frequency response optimization, and subjective tuning. He introduced an evaluation system for in-vehicle audio systems covering frequency response, sound field performance and dynamic capability. He also emphasized system-level engineering thinking and the importance of consistency between UI design and user experience.



The summit was marked by an active and engaging atmosphere, as speakers shared forward-looking and practical insights. Topics covered breakthroughs in acoustic algorithms, the development of audio ecosystems within intelligent cockpits, hardware innovation, and the pursuit of superior user experience. The sessions expanded participants’ technical perspectives and strengthened confidence in the future of automotive audio. The compelling presentations received strong audience engagement and sustained applause, while the exchange of ideas and expertise provided valuable direction for the industry’s continued advancement.


Visits to Leading Enterprises: Capturing the Pulse of Industrial Innovation



The summit also featured a dedicated on-site visit to the car audio exhibition areas. Led personally by the Head of AEA Automotive Audio Department at CIMP, participating guests formed a visiting delegation and visited the booths of more than ten benchmark enterprises, gaining first-hand exposure to the latest developments at the forefront of the automotive audio industry.

At each booth, guests viewed the latest products and technology demonstrations and engaged in discussions with company representatives on product development, market applications and industry trends.
