The 2nd AEA Global Automotive Film Installation Masters Competition 2026 took place from March 20 to 23, 2026, at Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center (Bao’ an). As one of the core professional competitions of the AutoEcosystems and the 2026 Greater Bay Area International Automotive Technology and Art Festival, the competition adopted the theme “Masters of Film” and was sponsored by NAR, SANYOU, KDX, ClearPro, Gulf and Wanshun, with KUNAISI as the exclusive film installation tool sponsor. The competition was not only a high-level showcase of installation skills, but also a major industry event dedicated to technical advancement, skills development and the continued improvement of professional standards across the automotive film sector.

On the morning of March 20, Hu Chunyan, General Manager of the Passenger Vehicle Division of CIMP, delivered the opening remarks on behalf of the organizer. She stated that with the  upgrading of automotive consumption and the growing demand for personalization, China’s automotive film industry is entering a new stage of opportunity. Built on practical exchange and accumulated industry experience, the competition aims to improve technical standards for film installation, supporting the global expansion of Chinese expertise and practices, and guide the industry toward more professional, standardlized, and international development.

A high-level competition requires fair and professional judging system. This year’s event invited eight industry authoritative experts to form the judging panel, adopting international scoring rules and a standardized competition process to ensure professionalism and fairness throughout the competition. During the opening ceremony, Ms. Hu, on hehalf of the organizer, presented appointment plaques to each member of the judging panel.

Witnessed by guests and participating competitors, the competition was officially started.

Top installation specialists from across the region officially stepped onto the competition floor, marking the start of a high-level contest defined by technical excellence and craftsmanship.

The competition lasted for three days and featured multiple categories focused on automotive film installation techniques, evaluating the contestants’ professional abilities from all aspects.

Day1 Window Film Installation Competition

The first day featured the window film installation competition. Competitors were required to complete high-standard installation work within a limited time, from cutting and fitting to detail finishing, testing their technical skills and practical experience as professional installers.

Day2 Paint Protection Film Installation Competition

The second day featured the paint protection film (PPF) installation competition. PPF installation requires a high level of technical precision, with key judging criteria including contour handling on curved vehicle surfaces, dust-free application, installation accuracy and overall finish quality.

Day3 TPU Color Change Film Showcase Competition

Drawing on extensive practical experience and technical expertise, the judging panel evaluated each entry across multiple dimensions, including technical proficiency, installation craftsmanship, detail finishing, and overall results, providing professional and authoritative judging framework for the competition.

Three days of intense competition and strict evaluation by the professional judging panel, the champions, runners-up, and third-place winners of the Window Film Installation Competition and the Paint Protection Film Installation Competition were officially announced.

Window Film Installation Competition

Bai Qifeng won the champion of the Window Film Installation Competition, while Xie Jiaxiong won second place and Wu Guangsheng took third place. Lu Zhanfeng, Deputy General Manager of 、SANYOU, presented trophies and cash prizes to the winners.

Du Mian, General Manager of Wanshun, and Zheng Jingbo, Deputy General Manager of the Procurement & Sales Center and Deputy General Manager of the Window Film Division at KDX Group, presented trophies to outstanding competitor in the Window Film Installation Competition and the Paint Protection Film Installation Competition.
